An internet user is a person who has used the internet at least once in the last three months from any location and using any device, including a computer, digital television, or mobile phone.

  1. In 2024, the percentage of the Kenyan population that had used the internet was 35%, up from 22.6% in 2019. 
  2. The number of people using the internet in 2021 was 15.3 million, compared to 9.87 million in 2019.
  3. The county with the highest share of internet users in 2024 was Nairobi at 64.7%, while the lowest was West Pokot at 9.1%.
