Beatrice Chebet won two gold medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics. She represented Kenya in the Women's 5000m and 10,000m races. Faith Kipyegon won silver in the women's 5,000m, and Mary Moraa won bronze in the women's 800m. Faith Cherotich and Abraham Kibiwot have each won a bronze medal.

Kenya first participated in the Summer Olympics in 1956 and 1960, where it did not win any medals. It won a bronze medal in 1964 and then won its first gold medal in the 1968 Olympics.
